Starting with Intercom
You’ve chosen Intercom and want to get the setup right from the beginning: from workspace structure and channels to routing, workflows, knowledge and reporting.

Cloudstride supported Intercom and Fin implementation at Panorays with practical guidance, hands-on onboarding, and migration support. The team was responsive, easy to work with, and helped us put the right foundations in place for future use.
Cloudstride handled our Intercom implementation seamlessly and continues to provide fast, reliable support for our ongoing configuration needs.

We were able to overcome many of the challenges thanks to Cloudstride’s dedication, responsiveness, and continuous support. We truly appreciate all the effort that were put into helping us throughout the project, and we would like to sincerely thank you once again.
You’ve chosen Intercom and want to get the setup right from the beginning: from workspace structure and channels to routing, workflows, knowledge and reporting.
You’re moving from Zendesk, Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud or another support platform and need a structured migration without simply recreating the old setup.
Intercom is already in place, but the workspace has grown organically and routing, workflows, ownership, reporting or overall structure need to be redesigned.
You want to build an AI-first support model with Fin at the centre, making sure knowledge, workflows, handoffs and platform configuration are designed to support automation from day one.
Most Intercom implementations take 4–8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the setup, migration requirements, integrations and how quickly key decisions can be made.
2–4 weeks (typically 15 – 25 hours)
For smaller teams and relatively straightforward new implementations.
4–8 weeks (typically 25 – 45 hours)
For a typical implementation covering multiple channels, workflows, knowledge, Fin and team enablement.
8+ weeks (typically 45 – 80+ hours)
For larger migrations, complex integrations, multiple teams or markets, or projects with substantial data and technical dependencies.
Project duration is not the same as implementation effort. A project may involve a relatively limited number of consulting and configuration hours while still running across several weeks to allow for workshops, decisions, testing and rollout.
Most projects involve 1–2 working sessions per week, supported by asynchronous reviews, decisions and project updates between meetings.
We manage the implementation through a shared project plan so both teams have clear visibility into scope, owners, dependencies, progress and upcoming decisions.
Cloudstride leads the implementation, but the best results come from working closely with the people who understand your customers, support operation and technical environment.
Typically, we need:
Your team does not need to become Intercom experts during the project. Your main role is to provide business context, make key decisions, validate the setup and support internal dependencies.
For many Intercom implementation projects, we start with a separate Discovery & Roadmap phase at a fixed fee before committing to the full implementation.
We review your current support setup, processes, requirements and technical dependencies, then define the target support model with Intercom and Fin and the practical path to get there.
This gives both teams a clear, documented basis for scoping the implementation properly before larger commitments are made.
Who can help us implement Intercom?
An experienced Intercom implementation partner can help you design the support model, configure the platform, migrate existing processes and data, set up Fin, test the solution and prepare your team for launch.
Cloudstride is an official certified Intercom Solutions Partner and the first globally to complete Intercom’s new Services Certification programme. We provide end-to-end Intercom implementation services based on the Intercom methodology, from initial discovery and solution design through configuration, testing, training and rollout.
What does an Intercom implementation include?
The exact scope depends on your support model and technical requirements. A typical project can include workspace and channel setup, teams and permissions, routing and workflows, Help Center and knowledge configuration, Fin AI Agent, customer data and integrations, reporting, testing, agent training and admin enablement.
More complex projects may also include migration from an existing support platform or a separate Discovery & Roadmap phase before implementation begins.
How long does an Intercom implementation take?
Most Intercom implementations take around 4–8 weeks.
A relatively straightforward setup can take 2–4 weeks, while migrations, complex integrations, multiple teams or markets, and significant technical dependencies can extend the timeline beyond eight weeks.
Calendar duration also includes time for workshops, customer decisions, testing and rollout. It is not the same as the number of consulting or configuration hours required.
How much does Intercom implementation cost?
The cost depends on the complexity of the setup, number of channels and workflows, Fin requirements, migration scope, integrations and the amount of solution design required.
We scope each implementation around the actual requirements rather than selling predefined packages. For projects where the full scope cannot be established upfront, we often begin with a fixed-fee Discovery & Roadmap phase and use the resulting roadmap to define the implementation scope, timeline and commercial proposal.
Can you migrate us from Zendesk, Freshdesk or another support platform?
Yes. We can help plan and execute migrations from existing customer support platforms to Intercom.
Depending on the project, this may cover support processes, channels, knowledge, customer data, historical conversations, routing and workflows, integrations and the operational cutover to Intercom.
We use the migration as an opportunity to improve the support model rather than simply recreating the previous platform configuration.
Can Fin AI Agent be included in the implementation?
Yes. Fin can be implemented as part of the wider Intercom rollout.
We can help define where Fin should operate, prepare the required knowledge and guidance, configure handoffs and workflows, establish the relevant data and attributes, test key support scenarios and prepare both Fin and your human support team for launch.
Fin can also be introduced later if it makes more sense to establish the core Intercom setup first.
Can you improve an Intercom workspace that is already set up?
Yes. Not every project starts from a blank workspace.
We regularly work with teams where Intercom is already live but the setup has grown organically or no longer supports the way the team operates. This can involve redesigning routing, workflows, inbox structure, ownership, knowledge, reporting, Fin configuration or other parts of the workspace.
For larger optimisation projects, we may recommend starting with an audit or Discovery & Roadmap phase before making changes.
Are you an official Intercom partner?
Yes. Cloudstride is a certified Intercom Solutions Partner providing implementation and Fin services based on official Intercom’s methodology.
In 2026, Cloudstride became the first partner globally to complete Intercom’s new Services Certification, covering the practical skills required to design and deliver Intercom and Fin implementations.
Whether you are implementing Intercom, migrating from another platform, rolling out Fin, or improving an existing setup, we can help you define the right next step.
