- Advanced data filtering and sorting options
- Reusable personal and shared export templates
- Rich text and cell formatting
- Export of subitems
- Export of updates
- Export of mirrored and formula columns
Here’s an example of how the exported file will look in Excel:

2. Performing a Quick Export
Performing a one-time quick export after installing the app is easy! Navigate to the app’s Board view and click on Quick Export. This will open the export master, which has three sections that allow you to configure the export according to your needs.

Once the app is installed, you can access it by adding the “Easy Spreadsheet Export” Board view to your board.
Click Quick Export to open the export master.
2.1 Export Settings
Use this section to reorder and map your Board columns to the corresponding columns in a spreadsheet, choose a sorting column, and configure visual parameters like font or fill color for each column. You can skip this step if you’d like to include all the available Board columns in the spreadsheet in their default order. Additionally, you can add an Item ID or a blank column to your export.

Reorder and map the columns from the board to the spreadsheet as needed.
Choose specific board columns, and add blank columns or Item IDs as needed.
Choose the sorting order of the data in the spreadsheet, if needed.
Define the visual settings for fonts and cells in the spreadsheet for specific columns, such as size, color, and more.
Add additional columns to the spreadsheet if needed.
2.2 Filter Settings
Use this section to apply filters to your exported data. You can add as many filter rules as needed and combine them using AND/OR conditions. Additionally, in this section you can also choose the groups from which you would want to export the data.

Apply AND/OR conditions to your filter set.
Add as many filters as needed to obtain your desired data set.
2.3 General settings
This section allows you to configure additional export parameters, such as defining a file name, choosing whether to split the exported data by Board Groups, and deciding whether to include subitems and item updates in the export, among other options.
Once you’ve completed all the settings, click Quick Export to receive your spreadsheet file in seconds.

When enabled, exported items will be grouped exactly as they appear on the board.
When enabled, subitems will be included in the export.
When enabled, the export’s date and time will be appended to the filename, e.g., “Filename_2024-08-15 12-54-36.xlsx.”
When enabled, the board’s name will be included at the beginning of the exported file.
When enabled, updates from the board will be exported as comments in the file.
3. Using templates
Templates allow you to preconfigure all export settings and quickly reuse them in the future to generate the required spreadsheet with just one click. Personal templates are only visible to you, and other users of the Board will not be able to see or use them. Shared templates can be created by anyone and are visible and reusable by other users who have access to the Board.
Please note: only the author of a shared template can edit or delete it. If you want to slightly modify a shared template for personal use, you can copy it to your personal template list.
Creating a template is simple and follows a process similar to performing a Quick Export, as described here. The only difference is that in the General settings, you need to provide a Template name and specify whether the template will be personal or shared.

Define the name of your template, which will be displayed on the app’s main page.
When enabled, the template will be accessible to other users with access to this board. However, they will not be able to modify or delete a template that you created.
After configuring the export, filter, and general settings, click Save Template, and your newly created template will appear in the appropriate list on the app’s main page, depending on whether it’s a personal or shared template.
Moving forward, you will be able to perform a one-click export, clone, and edit this template directly from the main page of the app.

Perform a one-click export of the template, or clone, modify, and delete it as needed.
Only the author of a shared template can clone, edit, or delete it. However, anyone can perform the export and copy the shared template to their personal template list.
4. Updating templates after Board changes
After you create a template, Easy Spreadsheet Export will track any updates to your Board that might affect your template’s settings. For instance, if columns are added or removed from the Board, the app will notify you:

This template is outdated due to changes in the Board structure (columns were added, removed, or updated). Please consider reviewing this template.
The app will show you exactly what changes occurred on your Board that may require adjustments to the corresponding templates.

Click to view the changes made to the board since you last saved the template.
Deleted columns will automatically be replaced with blank columns in the export templates.
